Discz Privacy

Effective October 25, 2026

This notice covers Discz 2.0 and later, the free music discovery app formerly called Recs, operated by Novo Industries, Inc.

On your device

Discz stores Spotify authorization tokens in iOS Keychain. Your Spotify user ID, preferences, favorite artists and discovery and saved-song history are stored on your device to personalize discovery and show your activity.

Spotify

With your authorization, Discz connects directly to the Spotify Web API to read your profile, top tracks and artists, library and playlists. Searches, recommendation inputs and filters, playlist names and song changes are sent to Spotify to provide the features you use.

Artwork and previews load from media addresses supplied by Spotify. These requests share normal network information, including your IP address, with the services delivering them. See Spotify’s Privacy Policy.

Your choices and contact

Disconnect Spotify in Settings clears Discz’s local authorization and history; it does not delete your Spotify account or playlists. Separately, revoke authorization through your Spotify Apps page by choosing Remove Access.
